CRC1451 Annual Meeting 2023

Matteo and Hannah attended the 3rd annual retreat of the of the CRC1451: Key mechanisms of motor control in health and disease. Clinicians and scientists updated each other in the progress of the individual projects and collaborations. It’s always a pleasure to be there – you could sense a very collegial and motivating atmosphere during these two days.

Goodbye Esther

We had to say good bye to Esther who joined the Frezza Lab as a scientific coordinator – she is literally still on the same floor of the building but we miss her. Next to scientific achievements Esther’s positive energy and confidence was important for the team. ‚The Bergamis‘ and Esther share a lot of good and valuable memories! We wish you only the best for your future!

Kristiano joined the PhD Club

Today we celebrated Kristiano for a brilliant defense. Committee and audience were impressed. He talked about the importance of functional mitochondria in GABAergic neurons for brain physiology. Very good job – CONGRATS. We are beyond happy that you will stick around a bit longer as a Postdoc.

CRC1451 and CRC1218 annual retreats

A little late update: we attended in June the retreats organized by the individual collaborative research centers for motor control and mitochondrial regulation of cellular function, respectively. It was nice to see so many colleagues for updates and discussions on the projects.
